Our 1 and One Government IT Consultants have collaborated with a Commonwealth agency to establish a Program Management Office (PMO) supporting a cross-jurisdictional data program affecting the education sector. From inception, our team laid the foundations for governance, risk management, project management and delivery, stakeholder engagement, technical enablement, and resource management. Our IT Consulting team has provided the tools and expertise to propel the PMO, steering the program through phases aligning with the expectations of internal and external stakeholders.

We are currently engaged in designing, developing, and implementing a new product creation and workflow tool for a Commonwealth agency. Our team's responsibilities include managing the technical scrum teams using an agile methodology, facilitating user-centric design with regular agency reference group contributors, overseeing changes to entrenched business processes, training users, and rolling out the system to the entire agency, including Senior Executives. This comprehensive approach showcases our expertise in managing whole-of-agency change leveraging the 1 and One broad experience network in IT Consulting for Government services.

In 2021, we successfully spearheaded the implementation of an international biosecurity information system for a government client. This project involved transitioning from a paper-based system to a comprehensive digital solution, enhancing the collection, storage, and analysis of animal health data. Employing agile project management, we tailored a user-friendly system adaptable to both online and offline environments, accommodating varying levels of internet access. Our Government IT Consulting team crafted a cloud-based platform, integrating data-gathering tools and analytics to assist in managing diverse animal health scenarios. The system was complemented with training and detailed operational documentation, elevating that country’s biosecurity monitoring and response capability.

Our Government IT consulting specialists executed an agile learning program to enhance the capability of officers managing Australia's borders. This training supported the implementation of a newly developed IT system, focusing on digitised workflows for border assessments and inspections. Employing a modular training approach, adaptable to both self-paced e-learning and facilitated practical sessions, the content was tailored to meet accessibility standards to suit various learning environments. Despite technological shifts, the program successfully integrated into the national training curriculum, reflecting our proficiency in educational solutions for sophisticated IT infrastructures.

Our experience extends to leading the implementation of a Reference Data Management Solution for a prominent Australian department, in partnership with an esteemed global software provider. The project delivered a full-spectrum Platform as a Service (PaaS) infrastructure, securely hosted within Australia. We embraced a user-centric training and development approach, equipping departmental developers with the skills to effectively utilise the platform. The solution now benefits from established governance and change control protocols, maintained through a robust GitLab repository system.

Post-implementation, the system is fully operational, with the department harnessing the on-premises development application for ongoing database management.
