Experience establishing PMO
We have worked with a Commonwealth agency to establish a Program Management Office (PMO) to support a cross-jurisdictional data program impacting the tertiary education sector. From the ground up, our team laid the foundations for governance, risk management, project management and delivery, stakeholder engagement, technical enablement, and resource management. Our team has delivered the tools and expertise to drive the PMO, moving the program across phases to the expectation of internal and external stakeholders.
Managing whole-of-agency change
We are working to design, develop and implement a new product creation and workflow tool for a Commonwealth agency. Our team’s role includes managing the technical scrum teams using an agile methodology, facilitating a user-centric design with regular agency reference group contributors, managing changes to entrenched business processes, training users, and rolling out the system to the entire agency, including Senior Executives. We have also taken a lead role in managing a multinational software vendor on behalf of the Commonwealth. Our project is on schedule for delivery in 2023 and users are engaged and excited for the new system.
Communicating to any audience
We have delivered communication to all kinds of audiences across Australia, ranging from Ministers and Senior Executives to First Nations Australians and CALD audiences. We are known for our ability to deliver messages in simple English and with visual communication. We have developed and delivered communication strategies and campaigns that promote and raise awareness of Government initiatives, including world-first policies that impact millions of Australians.
Impactful learning and development
We have experience designing and delivering learning and development training products. We use adult learning principles to consider how to best engage audiences in new products, skills, and concepts. Our experience includes using a variety of software to develop eLearning packages, including Articulate. We have delivered face-to-face and virtual training events right across the country including to First Nations Australians in remote parts of Australia, officers out in the field, and in seaports and airports, and of course in corporate settings.
Designing and implementing government policy
When it comes to developing, implementing, and consulting on government policy there isn’t much our teams haven’t done. Our experience ranges from consulting with industry bodies and key players, developing regulatory impact statements, advising on solutions to complex policy challenges, right the way through to designing capability frameworks for teams to implement new policies, regulations, and grants programs. Our team is across whole-of-government policies and guidelines and knows how to work within these frameworks to find an optimal solution that works for third parties, executives, and Ministers alike.
Assessing risk management and designing practical ways forward
We take a pragmatic approach to assessing and designing solutions that improve and manage risk and compliance across government. When considering solutions, we go out of our way to consider available tools, systems, and resources. Across multiple engagements we have engaged with stakeholders to educate and inform them about possible and probable risks that are identified through workshops, interviews, and questionnaires. We advocate for embedding a culture that shares the management of risk appropriately amongst teams. Our most common recommendation when it comes to risk solutions? Communication. The fundamentals with any risk approach is to ensure there are solid ways to raise awareness of, listen to, and then act on risks.
